Born in St. Joseph, Missouri and lived in the area for almost 32 years. I earned my degree in Commercial Art from Missouri Western State University in 1993. From there, I went to work for a Professional Photographer and later worked as a Picture Framer for 9 ½ years. I had to make a career change due to a movement disorder called Dystonia.. I worked at as TSA Officer for 4 years before needing to move quiet because of the Dystonia.
After coming out at age 32, I met my wife and moved to San Diego, CA in 2003.
After the birth of my daughter and all the legal issues involved in that, I wanted to become involved in something that would give support to both parents and rights of LGBT couples. I joined the Board in 2008 as Marketing Director. I wanted to use my talents to improve the life of North County LGBT. |

Morgana was born in Chicago in 1952. My motivation for activism is based on my experiences growing up transgender in the 1960’s. I feel that if my efforts even in some small way allow the LGBT youth of today—and the whole LGBT Community—to live less painful and more fulfilling lives, then I will have transcended my own suffering. I also serve as co-chair of the Social Justice Committee at Chalice UU Congregation in Escondido, working on a variety of social justice issues. I am proud to work with my fellow directors on the Coalition Board. They are a knowledgeable and hard working group, and I continue to learn from them. It is critical that we establish an open, vibrant LGBT Community here in North County. By the by, I moved to San Diego ten years ago, and have gone completely and irrevocably Californian. |
