Creating Change 2K10

January 12th – March 12th begins be our Annual Membership Drive. This year’s theme Creating Change 2K10 summarizes in 2 little words what the North County LGBT Coalition has been doing and is continuing in 2010.

2009 was an incredible year for the Coalition and its members. The Coalition established more relationships with the city of Oceanside and various community services. We collaborated with San Diego to hold the August Provost Memorial, and expanded our diversity training; with the 1st City of Oceanside, Fallbrook Family Health Center, and Tri City Hospital training sessions. We presented the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Conference, held the 2nd Pride @ the beach (which attracted over 2,000 attendees), and held the 1st Annual GSA Awards, just to name a few.

As you can see, your tax-exempt membership can make a difference in the quality of life of the LGBT community. You don’t have to be LGBT to be a member or activist. You don’t even have to live in San Diego’s North County. We accept contributions from anywhere in the world.

We will continue to use money raised from the memberships to give our LGBT community a voice and help create a safer environment for our children and families by offering more educational programs and social events.

As a thank you, we will continue to provide you with special Membership perks. We will post on our website the current and up to date perks. These will include discounts on services, restaurants, and early announcements and opportunities.
